THIS AND THAT.......

I'M SORRY FOR THIS LONG OVERDUE POST! I
WANTED TO SHARE SOME OF THE GOINGS ON HERE.
THIS IS THE FRONT OF OUR HOUSE WHERE WE
HAD THE RAMP FOR BRIAN BUILT. OUR HOUSE IS
BUILT INTO A HILL AND THE FRONT YARD WAS
THE FLATTEST, STRAIGHTEST SHOT IN. ALSO
THE WIDER DOOR IS IN THE FRONT. WE MADE A NEW
DRIVEWAY TO THE RIGHT AND WERE BLESSED
TO BE ABLE TO GET IT PAVED FOR BRIAN.
I DON'T HAVE A LOT OF FLOWERS AND SUCH BUT
A FEW THINGS TO BRING COLOR AND MAKE IT
FUN. I NEEDED TO KEEP IT SIMPLE AS I DON'T
HAVE A LOT OF EXTRA TIME TO TEND TO THEM.

YOU CAN CLICK ON THE PICS TO MAKE THEM BIGGER.
SOME RUSTY THINGS HERE AND THERE AND OTHER
FUN GARDEN STUFF.

THE WEATHERED BIRD FEEDER ON THE SHEHERDS
HOOK BELONGED TO MY DAD. I BROUGHT IT HOME
AFTER HE PASSED AS A MEMENTO. PLUS I LOVED
THAT IT WAS SO WEATHERED ALREADY!

LITTLE LOG CABIN BIRD HOUSE HANGING IN A
BARREL PLANTER IN THE BACK OF THE HOUSE.

THE DECK AND BACK STEPS NEED PAINTING BUT
JUST DON'T THINK IT WILL GET DONE THIS YEAR.

A FEW GOODIES ALONG THE BACK DECK FOR FUN!
NOT MUCH, JUST ENOUGH TO MAKE IT SEEM NOT
SO BARE!

THE OLD SHED. IT WAS HERE WHEN WE MOVED IN OVER
30 YEARS AGO. IT NEEDS PAINTING TOO! BUT FOR
NOW I'M ENJOYING THE FLOWERS. BLACK EYED
SUSIE'S ARE FROM MY DAD'S GARDEN. SO GLAD
I HAVE THOSE TOO TO REMEMBER HIM BY.
HE LOVED FLOWERS AND ALWAYS HAD BEDS.
I REMEMBER WHEN WE WENT BACK TO SCHOOL
WE WOULD TAKE FRESH CUT FLOWERS FROM HIS
GARDENS FOR OUR TEACHER. WE HAVEN'T GOTTEN
MUCH RAIN SO HAVE BEEN WAITING EVERY TWO WEEKS
TO MOW. IT GETS LONG IN PLACES BUT WE'VE MANAGED
WITH THE LITTLE BIT OF RAIN TO KEEP IT
MOSTLY GREEN.

ABOVE ARE THE BLOCKS FOR A CHERI PAYNE
QUILT MY FRIEND KATHY AND I ARE DOING. EACH
MAKING OUR OWN. THIS IS THE CENTER AND ALL
WE HAVE LEFT IS THE BORDER. WE PLAN TO GET
TOGETHER THIS WEEK AGAIN AND AT
LEAST CUT OUT THE PIECES. THIS WILL BE
FOR OUR HOME AND I HOPE TO GET IT QUILTED SOON!

SPEAKING OF FALL.....HERE IS A LITTLE PEEK
AT MY NEWEST CROSS STITCH PATTERNS!
STILL WORKING ON THE PATTERNS BUT LOOK
FOR THEM SOMETIME IN THE NEXT COUPLE
OF WEEKS!

MY FRIENDS BILL AND MAREE HELPED ME HANG
A NEW SIGN IN THE DINING ROOM! THANKS GUYS!!
IT'S NEWER PAINTED LETTERING ON AN OLD BOARD.
I LOVE IT!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST ARE MY TWO SWEETIES! I JUST
WANTED TO SHARE THAT WE ARE DOING PRETTY
GOOD. THE LORD HAS BEEN GRACIOUS AND BLESSED
US IN MANY WAYS THESE PAST MONTHS. WE HAVE A LOT
IN PLACE TO MAKE LIFE EASIER AND WE ARE VERY
GRATEFUL FOR THAT! WE THANK ALL OF OUR
DEAR FRIENDS AND FAMILY FOR YOUR CONSTANT
PRAYERS ON OUR BEHALF. THE LORD HEARS
EVERY ONE AND WE HAVE COME OUT OF THE
DARKNESS INTO THE LIGHT ONCE AGAIN. WE
REJOICE AND PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME.

I'LL POST AGAIN SOON WHEN I HAVE MY NEW
PATTERNS READY!  UNTIL NEXT TIME.....LORI

Lori, your yard looks just beautiful! I adore red geraniums. Unfortunately, the rain and sun have done a job on ours and they are not looking too good. On the other hand, Brian and Zoe are both looking great! Such good companions! Looking forward to your finishes. Can't believe it's pumpkin time again!

Good to hear from you,
Robyn

Hi Lori,
Your yard and porch look just wonderful and those red geraniums are gorgeous!! I wish I could grow them but they just don't like me and the heat here is really bad anyway, even if I didn't kill them first! So happy to hear all the good news and to see Brian and Zoe, too!! You are all in our prayers daily!
The new sign is just perfect and looks great in your home!! It is always a joy to "visit' with you and see your lovely things!!! Thank you for sharing and hope you all have a wonderful week, my friend!!!
Heart Hugs~
