UPDATE PREVIEW

IT WILL BE JUST A WEE LITTLE UPDATE I'M AFRAID.
I'M CALLING IT STARS AND STRIPES
BUT IT'S NOT THE TRADITIONAL KIND!
I WILL HAVE THE TWO DOLLS AND TWO QUILTS
TO OFFER. IT'S ALL I COULD MANAGE RIGHT NOW.
THE SISTERS ARE DRESSED IN THEIR HOMESPUN
DRESSES OF BROWN/LINEN COLOR.
ON THE LEFT WE HAVE EFFIE
AND ON THE RIGHT IS HETTIE.

EFFIE HAS HER OWN LITTLE PUNCH NEEDLE
SEWING POCKET THAT DOES OPEN SO A LITTLE
SOMETHING COULD BE TUCKED AWAY IN THERE IF
YOU WANTED. IT WILL FIT AROUND HER WAIST AS
WELL IF THAT IS MORE DESIRABLE. SHE MEASURES
19~1/2" TALL AND IS RAG STUFFED FOR A NICE
OLD FEEL.

HETTIE IS PROUD OF HER LITTLE SISTER AND
LOOKS QUITE FETCHING IN HER BROWN BONNET.
SHE DOES SCOLD EFFIE FOR LEAVING HER BONNET
AT HOME. THE SUN CAN JUST RUIN A GIRLS
COMPLEXION YOU KNOW?!

NETTIE HAS A HAND SEWN PLACKET
DOWN THE FRONT OF HER BODICE WITH 3
OLD BONE BUTTONS. SHE HAS BROWN
HOMESPUN PLAID "SOCKS" THAT ARE PART
OF HER LEGS AND THEY ARE A SIMILAR
DARK BROWN COLOR AS HER BONNET.
SHE MEASURES 23" TALL AND IS
ALSO RAG STUFFED.

PRIMITIVE STAR QUILT MEASURES 29~1/2" SQUARE.
STAR BLOCK DESIGN BY LINDA BRANNOCK.
IT'S HAND QUILTED IN THE BAPTIST FAN PATTERN
1" APART.

CLOSE UP OF FRONT.

HERE'S THE BACK. A HOMESPUN IN LIGHTER
NEUTRAL PLAID.

I'M WORKING ON FINISHING UP THIS LITTLE BEAUTY
FOR THE UPDATE ALSO. IN THE MOOD FOR FALL
I HAD TO DIP INTO MY COLORED FABRICS
AND CAME UP WITH THIS LITTLE STAR AND
PUMPKIN QUILT OF MY OWN DESIGN. I AM
HAND QUILTING IT IN THE BAPTIST FAN PATTERN
1/2" APART. IT'S MY OWN DESIGN.

TO FIND OUT MORE PLEASE JOIN ME
THIS WEEK ON THURSDAY MORNING JULY 19TH
AT 9:00 AM CENTRAL TIME FOR MY UPDATE.
I PLAN TO OPEN A NEW ALBUM FOR THIS UPDATE
SO EVERYTHING ELSE WILL STILL BE OPEN FOR
VIEWING BETWEEN NOW AND THE UPDATE.
IF YOU SEE ANYTHING ELSE THAT TICKLES YOUR FANCY
OFFERED IN MY OTHER FOR SALE ALBUMS PLEASE
EMAIL ME. THANKS SO MUCH FOR STOPPING BY
AND FOR ALL OF YOUR CONTINUED PRAYERS.

BIG HUGS FROM ME TO YOU, LORI

Awwww...Effie and Hettie are perfectly PRECIOUS, Lori!!! Bet it's going to be tough to say good-bye to them when the time comes. And gorgeous quilts!! Just did a little catch-up reading (again!) reading here....Glad to hear Brian is doing better, and that Kathy is recovering as well. (Love the little penny mat she made you!!) Will continue to keep them both on the prayer list....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Looks like it's going to be a great up-date Lori, even if it is a little small. We all know what you have been going through lately, so the fact that you were able to find the time to get this much done makes these items even more special. I'll be there with bells on, Tina

Hi, Lori,
I love your dolls and quilts, especially the star and pumpkin quilt! Your baptist fan quilting is gorgeous, I once had a quilt machine quilted with baptist fan, I can't imagine you doing it all by hand
Hugs,
Melinda

Your dolls are esquisit Lori. They melt my heart!! You do a really good job with thier faces. So, how did you pick thier names. They are lovely names. -Steph-

Thank you everyone for your sweet comments.

Steph,
I like to use old names and so I googled a list of names from the 1800's. I picked the ones I felt suited these two dolls.
