PRIMITIVE STAR BLOCKS

I STARTED THESE STAR BLOCKS THE OTHER DAY.
I'M NOT SURE HOW BIG THE QUILT TOP WILL BE
YET BUT THE QUILT WILL BE OFFERED FOR SALE
ON MY NEXT PT UPDATE, HOPEFULLY SOME TIME
IN JUNE. THE PATTERN IS BY
LINDA BRANNOCK IN HER BOOK
MISS JUMP'S QUILT ALBUM.
YOU START OUT WITH TWO SQUARES
OF FABRIC, THE STAR COLOR ON
TOP OF THE BACKGROUND.
I DID THE COLORFUL ONE IN OUR HALLWAY
SOME YEARS AGO BUT THOUGHT IT
WOULD BE FUN TO DO A SMALL ONE IN
NEUTRALS. JUST BROWNS AND TANS.
I'M ALSO WORKING ON A SPECIAL ORDER,
SOME HOOKED REDWARE ORNIES.

WISHING ALL THE MOTHER'S OUT THERE
A VERY HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
FUR BABIES COUNT TOO!

UNTIL NEXT TIME....LORI

I, too, love that quilt of yours - and I'm thinking those neutrals are going to be AMAZING!!! Can't wait to see it "all together!"

Well, my Mother's Day treat to me was visiting your home via PT....Oh my....Lori - I know/knew you had a beautiful home and beautiful treasures - but this just took my breath away....Can I move in? PLEASE??!!! You have exquisite taste - and all those wonderful measures, pantries, dollies - and then your gorgeous textiles - rugs, samplers, and other hand-did's....truly a feast for the eyes.....Thank you for sharing - I can't think of a much better way to have spent a small part of my day....

Hoping your day is filled with joys and blessings....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

I love the star blocks. I viewed your picture trail, gorgeous primitive decorating with quilts and rugs. I have many of Linda's books, but not that one, will have to shopping for it.

Those stars look difficult. Are they pieced or appliqued? Love the colors!

Sharon,
No, they aren't that hard. They are fun because the are not so perfect and precise. They are hand appliqu├ęd. Lori
