MY BELOVED

A JOURNEY....ONE I NEVER DREAMED WE WOULD HAVE TO LIVE THRU BUT HERE WE ARE. BRIAN HAD AN ANEURYSM IN HIS HEART THAT RUPTURED AND WHEN IT DID IT TORE HIS AORTA. HE WAS IN THE HOSPITAL IN OUR HOME TOWN AND WAS LIFE FLIGHTED BY HELICOPTER TO A GOOD HOSPITAL IN MARSHFIELD WISCONSIN, THREE HOURS DRIVE FROM OUR HOME. BRIAN HAD ACTUALLY NOT FELT GOOD A MONTH OR SO AGO AND WAS HOSPITALIZED THEN WITH SEVERE BACK PAIN BUT WE DIDN'T KNOW THEN HE HAD AN ANEURYSM OR THAT IT HAD RUPTURED. I TELL YOU ALL THIS NOT TO GET YOUR SYMPATHY OR TO TAKE MY BURDENS TO YOU WHEN YOU HAVE YOUR OWN, BECAUSE THAT IS NOT WHAT I WANT MY BLOG TO BE ABOUT, BUT I TELL YOU BECAUSE MY BELOVED IS A MIRALCE! BY THE GRACE OF GOD HE IS NOT GONE FROM ME. HE SHOULD NOT BE HERE!! PRAISE THE LORD FOR HIS GREAT COMPASSION AND LOVING KINDNESS. LET THIS BE A WITNESS TO ANYONE WHO WILL BELIEVE, THE LORD IS IN CONTROL AND HE BIDS YOU TO COME UNTO HIM. WE WILL BE DOWN HERE FOR QUITE A FEW DAYS YET AND BRIAN STILL NEEDS LOTS OF PRAYERS. SO PLEASE MY DEAR BLOGGING FRIENDS SAY A PRAYER FOR HIS SAFE KEEPING AND HUG AND KISS YOUR SPOUSE THIS DAY. PUT ASIDE YOUR PETTY ARGUMENTS FOR IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE THEY COULD BE GONE FROM THIS LIFE. SINCE I CAN'T CALL OR EMAIL ALL OF YOU THAT I KNOW WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON I THOUGHT THIS THE BEST WAY. I'LL LET YOU KNOW WHEN I CAN HOW THINGS ARE GOING. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE DEAR FRIENDS FOR ALL OF YOUR PRAYERS. I KNOW MANY HAVE AND ARE PRAYING AND THAT IS WHY BRIAN IS STILL WITH US. IT WAS A VERY LONG AND RISKY HEART SURGERY YESTERDAY. HE IS NOT OUT OF THE WOODS YET. BUT I FEEL THE LORD HASN'T BROUGHT US THIS FAR TO TAKE HIM FROM ME NOW. BRIAN WILL BE 57 IN JULY. DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME, I AM DOING OK. I HAVE MY TWO SISTERS WITH ME AND MY BEST FRIEND KATHY DROVE ME HERE YESTERDAY. OUR SON WILL BE HERE TOMORROW. I HAVE A WONDERFUL SUPPOSRT SYSTEM. AT HOME THERE ARE MANY THAT WILL BE THERE FOR US. AND WE HAVE FAMILY SPREAD OUT ACROSS THIS GREAT LAND THAT ARE PRAYING CONSTANT PRAYERS. WITH A THANKFUL AND VERY GRATEFUL HEART, LORI

Lori,

I am so glad I found your blog. We have all been very worried about Brian. We are praying for him and your family and will continue to do so. You are so right about the little things and just appreciating the people that are close to us. I am so happy they caught this in time and he is still here today. God has brought him this far and won't let him down now. Keep us posted with his progress. If there is anything I can do please let me know. We're praying for all of you.

I will send up thoughts of healing for him and YOU...I know that when someone we love is sick or recovering, it can take a toll on us too...so PLEASE make sure you take time out daily to meditate, or just sit quietly & thank your personal Higher Power...it gives us a chance to heal as well. Dear Lori,
I am so sorry to hear about Brian's illness. When Lehmer was 46 he had emergency heart surgery and had six bypasses. He is 65 now and has had no further problems. I hope and pray that Brian has a similar outcome. You take care of yourself. I have been there and you will be a care giver soon. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Hi Lori, I am a new follower of yours and live in central Wisconsin. I was at that hospital on Tuesday with my dad and heard a helicopter come in, now I don't know what day your husband came, but it's a small world nevertheless. Sounds like quite an ordeal you all went through. I will be back there next Tuesday with my dad again, so if you're still there, maybe we could meet. I enjoy reading your blog, love your decorating style, and cross stitching samplers is my favorite too! Prays for continued healing for your husband.

Lori, I'm so happy that Brian is doing better. I have seen first hand myself what a miracle is from God, through the health issues my husband has faced. There is nothing else in this world that can leave us more comforted than the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ. I'm so happy you are in His presence and are receiving it! It's wonderful to hear you have the support system that you do. Keeping you and Brian in my thoughts, and prayers for Brian for a quick and full recovery! Life is too short, enjoy every day... that's what counts!
