HORSING AROUND!

I STARTED HOOKING ON THIS HORSE RUG
FOR OUR BEDROOM ON MONDAY. I CAN'T SEEM
TO PUT IT DOWN SO WILL GET IT DONE THIS WEEK.
IT'S A GOOD SIZED ONE BUT I'M USING 9 CUTS
SO IT'S GOING PRETTY FAST.
I USED AND ANTIQUE COOKIE CUTTER FOR
THE HORSE SHAPE.

THE BIRD WAS INSPIRED BY AN ANTIQUE PIECE
OF NEEDLEWORK. SORRY THE PICS ARE SO DARK
WE GOT 18" OF SNOW YESTERDAY WHEN I TOOK
THEM SO THE LIGHTING WASN'T SO GOOD.

HERE'S THE PICNIC TABLE ON THE BACK DECK
TO GIVE YOU AN IDEA. WE HAVEN'T SEEN A SNOWSTORM
LIKE THIS ONE FOR YEARS. I HAD TO SHOVEL THE DECK
OFF TWICE YESTERDAY TO KEEP UP WITH IT. AND IT
WAS THAT WET HEAVY KIND OF SNOW SO THIS
ALMOST 55 YEAR OLD WAS PLUM TUCKERED OUT!

HOPING EVERYONE HAS A MOST WONDERFUL DAY.
I'M HOPING TO FINISH MY RUG THIS WEEKEND SO
LOOK FOR A COMPLETE PICTURE THEN.

UNTIL NEXT TIME.....LORI

Love these wonderfully prim colors that you are using! The designs are adorable also. It is going to be beautiful when you are finished.

I'm so envious of all that snow!! How wonderful! We just want one good snowstorm here but we've only had a couple of inches all winter long. This is the perfect soup/crafting kind of day, hehe =]

Stay warm and cozy inside~

Wonderful early colors on this fabulous rug...love that blue flower! I miss snow, but cannot remember what it was like not to be able to go out in the garden everyday, or even just to the store. Maybe I'd get more hooking done!
Stay warm,
Robyn

You really got dumped on up there in MI! Wow! We had about a foot here! Wet and heavy for sure! I shoveled a path on the back deck for the dogs to get down and do their business..... about did me in!!!
I hope it all melts very very soon!!!

Lori,
Love the rug and the colors are great. Really loving the snow, I'm so jealous. I live in Pennsylvania and here it's been a really odd winter. Hardly a flake which is very odd. I miss it and am still hoping for a big ole snow storm. I think I'm running out of time though.....

Hi, Lori ~ I love your rug and the colors are fantastic. Love that little blue flower. We got a major storm here, too. I'm thinking spring but Mother Nature has other ideas, haha.

What a fabulous rug!! Love the colors you used and the cute little bird on it. I so wish I knew how to hook.....

We have just had a mess here in NJ -- some snow, ice, rain, cold, warm, windy, gray, cloudy.... a little bit of everything but sun!! The forecast doesn't look too good for the next couple of days.... I need Springtime and sunshine!!

Your rug is wonderful and you just amaze me how quickly you have gotten so much done. I'm curious as to the size. I, too, hook with a wider (8.5-9.5 cut), but you are speed hooker compared to me!
The snow is gorgeous but I am not the least bit jealous.
Pug hugs :)
