GIFTS EXCHANGED

MY FRIENDS KATHY AND JUDY CAME YESTERDAY
FOR OUR CHRISTMAS EXCHANGE. WE WERE PLANNING
ON DOING IT LAST WEEK BUT ONE OF MY NEIGHBORS
PASSED AWAY AND THE FUNERAL WAS ON THE DAY
WE HAD PLANNED TO GET TOGETHER SO WE POSTPONED
UNTIL YESTERDAY. I LEFT ALL MY DECORATIONS UP
SO IT STILL FELT FESTIVE. THEY ARE COMING DOWN
TODAY HOWEVER!
THE SAMPLER ABOVE IS CALLED CHRISTMASTIDE, A
NEW PATTERN BY WENDY OF PINEBERRY LANE.
WHEN I SAW IT I JUST KNEW IT'S WHAT I HAD
TO STITCH  FOR KATHY. THEN I MADE THE PINKEEP
BELOW USING WENDY'S SHEEP AND TREE DESIGNS
AND ADDED THE SCRIPTURE.
I ALSO MADE THIS PN SHEEP MAT FOR KATHY, TRYING
TO STICK TO THE COLORS OF THE CHRISTMASTIDE SAMPLER.
THIS DESIGN WAS CREATED BY ONE OF THE GIRLS IN
MY GROUP ON EBAY. I THINK IT WAS DEIDRE.

ABOVE ARE THE GIFTS I MADE FOR JUDY. THE LITTLE
PINKEEP ON THE LEFT IS BY WENDY OF PINEBERRY LANE.
THE MIDDLE SAMPLER IS A DESIGN BY BETTY OF
PRIMITIVE BETTY'S. I CHANGED IT
UP A BIT AND MADE IT FOR CHRISTMAS WITH TREES AND
ADDED JUDY'S GRAND DAUGHTER'S NAME.
THE ONE ON THE RIGHT IS
A REPRODUCTION OF AN ANTIQUE SAMPLER.

THE PILLOW ABOVE IS A DESIGN BY MAGGIE BONANOMI
AND WAS MADE BY KATHY FOR JUDY. IT'S ALL WOOL
AND JUST STUNNING IN PERSON! KATHY DOES
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BUTTONHOLE STITCHING.

KATHY ALSO MADE THIS SAMPLER FOR JUDY. THE
DESIGN IS BY SHERRY OF BLAIR CREEK CABIN.

AND THIS DELIGHTFUL SNOWMAN BAG WAS
MADE BY JUDY FOR KATHY. SHE USED AN OLD ARMY
BLANKET FOR THE POUCH. IT HAS A WIRE HANGER
AND  SHE FILLED IT WITH REAL GREENS AND BERRIES.
JUDY GAVE ME THIS AWESOME BROWN
HEAVY ANTIQUE CROCKERY JAR.
AND AN OLD CANDLE HOLDER WITH TWO
CANDLES THAT SMELL WONDERFUL.

KATHY GAVE ME THIS HOOKED RUG PATTERN
BY THE WOOLEN WILLOW THAT I HAVE WANTED
TO DO FOREVER! SHE GOT ONE FOR HERSELF
SO WE ARE GOING TO GET TOGETHER THIS MONTH
AND WORK ON THEM TOGETHER. CAN'T WAIT!
KATHY ALSO GAVE ME A WHOLE ARMY BLANKET
AND SHE STITCHED THESE SWEET LITTLE PINKEEPS
DESIGNED BY JENNY OF COUNTRY RUSTIC PRIMITIVES.

IT WAS SUCH A FUN DAY. I MADE VEGETABLE SOUP
FROM SCRATCH FOR LUNCH AND THEN WE OPENED OUR
GIFTS. JUDY MADE USE OF MY TOWNSEND WOOL CUTTER
AND CUT SOME WOOLY WORMS WHILE WE WERE VISITING.
I PUNCHED A LITTLE ON AN ITEM FOR MY UPDATE.

I AM BLESSED TO HAVE TWO SUCH WONDERFUL,
THOUGHTFUL FRIENDS. I'M SO THANKFUL THEY
ARE PART OF MY LIFE.

UNTIL NEXT TIME.....LORI

What wonderful gifts both from you and to you, what fun to get together, as well. I love my bird pillow, I have them all in a grouping and think I will have to make a bird themed area.
