MY RUG AND MORE FLOWER PICS

SORRY IT TOOK ME SO LONG TO SHOW
MY RUG BUT I'VE BEEN WORKING ON SOME
UPDATE ITEMS IN BETWEEN SO IT'S GOING SLOWLY.
ANYWAY, THIS IS HOW FAR ALONG  I AM
BUT IT'S A VERY LOOONNNGGGG RUG
SO IT WILL BE A WHILE BEFORE IT'S DONE.
IT'S DARKER AND MUTED BUT THAT'S WHAT I
INTENDED SO I'M LIKING IT SO FAR. I DON'T
THINK MY WOOLY WORMS ARE GOING DOWN
A BIT THO!!
SOME BROWN EYED SUSIE'S OUT BY THE SHED.
I BROUGHT SOME HOME FROM MY DAD'S GARDEN
LAST SUMMER AND THEY HAVE TAKEN OFF NICELY.
THE CROWS ARE HEAVY METAL. MY SISTER LOIS
HAD HER FRIEND MAKE THEM FOR ME FOR
A B~DAY GIFT LAST YEAR AND I LOVE THEM.
TWO OF THE OLD WINDOWS ARE BROKEN IN THE
SHED ON THIS SIDE. THEY'VE BEEN THAT WAY FOR
YEARS SINCE OUR SON WAS YOUNG AND HAD
A BB GUN. YOU GET THE IDEA!

PURPLE CONE FLOWERS ARE JUST STARTING
TO OPEN.

IN THE FRONT GARDEN BED ALONG THE FRONT
OF THE HOUSE. I NEED TO PLANT MORE FLOWERS
HERE. I HAVE SOME HOLLYHOCK SEEDS
FROM MY FRIEND SHERRY
SHE SENT ME LAST YEAR SO I HAVE TO GET
THEM IN THE GROUND.

IT'S PRETTY BARE RIGHT NOW

PETUNIA'S IN A BARREL PLANTER BY THE BACK STEPS.

I'LL GIVE YOU A LITTLE PEEK AT SOME THINGS
I'VE BEEN WORKING ON FOR MY UPDATE
BUT NOT JUST YET! CHECK BACK IN
A FEW DAYS.  UNTIL NEXT TIME....LORI

Lori,
The rug is wonderful!!! I love the colors you have chosen and look forward to seeing it completed!! I understand "slow going" too, as you well know! lol
I know you will just enjoy the whole process of using those wooly worms, one at a time!
The flowers are so colorful and vivid...so pretty!!
Can't wait to see what you are up to as well!!
Take care and enjoy your day!

Hugs~~

LOVE that rug you are working on -- it is beautiful..... You do such lovely work -- I wish I was so talented!!

Your flowers are so pretty -- mine are in bad shape.... dead or dying. I keep trying to revive them, but I guess this summer has taken it's toll on them.

Have a happy day!

Scrappy rugs (and quilts) are my all time favorites. Your colors are so rich and lovely. I enjoyed seeing all your flowers too, since my yard is too shady to grown any!

I sure love your rug Lori! I love doing the scrappy ones too! Seems like I don't have to think as hard on the directional hooking!
The blooms in your yard are still very pretty. It's surprising how a lot of ours here are winding down.
Hope to see your projects you've been working on!

Your new rug is gorgeous, Lori!! And those dark, muddy, colors make my heart sing! That reminds me of a design my friend has that I have wanted to do....but, alas, I don't think I have enough worms to make it work...(don't ask....) Your hooking is so very neat and precise...wish mine were so! Your flowers are gorgeous - mine are just "ok" this year...Those crows, though - those are something to "crow about!" How fun are they!!! They would be so awesome for fall (and fill up some of the empty spaces of those flowers that didn't fare so well!!) Wishing you a week filled with blessings....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

What a great rug! You do such beautiful work and even though you may think it's slow going, you put the rest of us to shame!
Those black eyed Susans have a way of taking over!
Pug hugs :)

Love your rug~so beautiful. Your flowers are so pretty. Mine look terrible~I blame it on the heat not my lack of watering them. Hehe!!

Love the rug, Lori!! Perfect hooking as usual...the colors are so nice. Great idea for all those worms!

You say you're not a gardener?? Couldn't tell by looking at those beautiful flowers...I'd say you have a green thumb in addition to all your other talents!

Love the design of the rug, and a wonderful way to use up those worms that never go away :).
Flowers are so pretty. I recently emptied my front porch of all my flowers. I couldn't keep them alive with all this heat. Got tired of looking at them. I have a few petunias on the back deck.

Your flowers are gorgeous. I love the coneflowers. They're beautiful. And keep up with your rug. It may be big, but if you just concentrate on the section you're working on, you'll have it done in no time!!

I keep coming back and looking at this rug...it's a good thing...has me inspired to hook a big honking rug...which will go to NC sister since her cat loves rugs...
