A FLOWER IN BLOOM

THIS IS A NEAT FLOWERING PLANT MY SISTER
LOIS GAVE ME FROM HER GARDENS.
IT'S CALLED LIGULARIA I BELIEVE.
I THOUGHT YOU'D LIKE TO SEE HOW IT OPENS UP.
IT'S PRETTY COOL!
ABOVE IS ONE OF THE PODS.

THE POD FALLS AWAY AND THE SPRAY OF
 FLOWERS POP OUT.

THERE ARE SEVERAL FLOWERS IN EACH POD.

THEY ARE A PRETTY YELLOW.

I'M WORKING HARD ON FINISHING
UP MY UPDATE ITEMS. I'LL HAVE MORE
INFO AND PICS BY MONDAY.
HAVE A WONDERFUL TUESDAY.
UNTIL NEXT TIME.....LORI

Hi Lori! That is a cool plant! I have never seen one before. I love the yellow flowers that come out. We have some wild flowers around here that look similar, but are not the same plant. We also have a wildflower that looks like mini sunflowers. I love them all! :)

I love this plant. It gets so big with great foliage and then the super flower at the end of the season. I left one at the old house...boo, hoo!

Robin, yes it is a perennial. Like Courtney said, the foliage gets very large with huge leaves and then at the end of summer you get the flowers. Come get some! Lori

Well, you answered my question about whether it's a perennial. What a neat plant. I'll have to look for one.
