A LITTLE BIT OF PROGRESS......

I PICKED UP  THIS SAMPLER AGAIN LAST NIGHT
AND MADE A LITTLE MORE PROGRESS.
I ADDED THE BIRDS, TREES, NUMBERS AND HEART.
NOT TOO MUCH MORE TO DO NOW AND IT WILL
BE READY TO AGE AND FRAME.
SOMETIMES WHEN I'M  MAKING ONE UP I
NEED TO SET IT ASIDE FOR A BIT IF
I'M NOT SURE WHAT TO STITCH AND
MORE TIMES THAN NOT WHEN I PICK IT
UP AGAIN MY HEART AND FINGERS SEEM TO KNOW
WHAT SHOULD COME NEXT. THAT IS THE CASE
WITH THIS SAMPLER. I AM PLEASED WITH IT
THUS FAR. NEXT I WILL DECIDE ON
A NAME AND DATE. UNTIL NEXT TIME.....LORI

I use that same technique when I am working on a new painting. I will get to a point where i don't know what to do next. I simply set it down grab some coffee and magically when I get back to the painting, I know exactly what to do! Your sampler is lovely.

Beautiful, Lori! I'm so impressed with people like you who design their own (awesome) patterns! I think I'm accomplishing something if I can just follow a pattern correctly! Smiles ~ Robin

It looks beautiful, Lori. I really love those birds and how you placed them. And I especially love how you mentioned that your heart helped guide you...that fact really shows in this piece and pretty much everything you create :)

Have a wonderful day!

Beautiful piece. I do the same thing, I get stuck on what i want next, so I set it aside and work on something else. Then I can stare at it and then it comes to me and I am eager to start again.

LOVE the new sampler Lori...that red house is amazing...such a wonderful pop of color!!! I do the same thing you do...when I design my samplers, I start and stop for weeks, even months sometimes before I finally get it finished. Tina

Very nice! This is something I long to learn, but I can't read patterns to save my life! Believe me, I have tried! I will have to make it up I guess. I just don't process it well.
Thanks for sharing,
Renee

Very nice Lori! I'll do the same thing when I'm designing. Do you ever get going and then have to change something out that you thought would work? Isn't it fun to design!! ~Kriss~

Kriss,
Oh yes, I have ripped out and changed things that just didn't look right to me. In fact I did change positions of one of the birds on this sampler. Lori
